How long are therapy sessions?

Therapy Sessions are 50 minutes long.  Insurance can be billed at 30 and 45 minutes.  Self-pay clients can be billed for 80-minute sessions.

What should I expect from a therapy session?

Therapy can look very different from provider to provider as well as with variance of treatment needs.  Motivated wellness utilizes a holistic approach that combines traditional "talk therapy" combined with psychoeducation, various treatment modalities (see below), and in-between session work.

What type of treatment modalities do you utlize

We utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Schema Therapy

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy

How often do we meet?

The most effective treatment occurs weekly.   After several months you and your therapist can adjust the frequency of visits as is deemed clinically appropriate.

How are sessions conducted?

Once all the paperwork has been completed you will be provided with a link where all sessions will be conducted.
